Hearts For Kids

Galilee Primary School is a school located in Nairobi, Kenya, for over 800 children who live in the slums of the city. Many of the children are orphans, live in very unsafe living conditions, often go hungry, yet walk long distances to attend school. The director of the school knows that providing these children with an education is the way to help them rise above the negative affects of their living conditions. Galilee offers a food program for the children, provides opportunities for sponsors to sponsor individual children and classes or groups of children. Sponsors correspond with the children and have the option of purchasing things for the children like food, clothing, books, bikes, and other gifts through an online gift site located on the school website. Sponsors may also send personal gifts to the child and some have visited the school.
